Greg Dixon

A veteran ScanSource employee, Greg has almost 40 years of experience in the technology arena, and is a well-known industry expert. In his role as Chief Technology Officer, he assesses new technologies and new opportunities for the Company - advising on when and how to enter and participate. Greg acts as technical advisor across all business segments, in all geographies, and is a member of the Executive Staff. He also works on special projects that involve cross-business unit selling and reseller partnerships. Greg speaks at conferences and events, communicating new opportunities to resellers, and teaches technology to non-technical employees. He often speaks to the press on industry trends and emerging technologies.

Timothy O’Connell, Networking Partner Executive, joined AVAYA in October 2015 from Hewlett Packard Enterprise. He has overall responsibility for recruiting, training, supporting and developing new and existing AVAYA partners wishing to align with AVAYA’s exciting new fabric technologies in the Western and Southwestern US. Tim’s responsibility includes both channel and customer facing engagements in support of AVAYA’s all important channel initiatives.

Before arriving at AVAYA, Mr. O’Connell enjoyed a successful tenure at HPE as a specialist in large scale storage area networks (SAN’s) including HP-3Par and HP Converged Systems.  Tim’s background also includes the creation and management of Day-2 Support Operations for Avnet Enterprise Solutions (later sold to Insight) where he was chartered to build and manage the Avnet NCSC (National Customer Support Center) serving Avnet’s US, Mexican and Canadian customers. Before being aquired by Avnet, Tim spent seven years at Kent Datacomm, where he served in a variety of positions including Account Manager, Branch Sales Management (AZ, NM & NV) and Regional Services Manager for the Western US.  During Tim’s tenure with Kent and Avnet, Tim’s management style and highly successful strategy in growing markets quickly established Tim as a key resource within Kent placing him on advisory boards for Professional Services, Marketing, HR and Legal.

Mr. O’Connell began his career in technology in 1991 with Cabletron Systems and has achieved a variety of certifications over the past 20 years including specializations with HP Storage, Cisco Systems, APC, Lucent / Avaya, Siemens and Motorola.

 
Sean O'Connor

Sean O’Connor is the Director of Channels Systems Engineering for the Americas and is based in San Jose, CA. He’s been with Polycom for 6 ½ years. Sean’s held various pre-sales roles within Polycom and thorough his professional career. Prior to joining Polycom he spent many years at Nortel. Sean and the Polycom Channel SEs are focused on partner sales enablement from the technical sales approach while partnering with multiple groups both internally as well as externally to deliver and exceed on initiatives specific to all things sell through: solution offerings, advanced services/shared delivery models, etc.
 
Seth Robinson
Senior Director, Technology Analysis

Seth Robinson is the senior director of technology analysis for CompTIA, the leading trade association for the IT industry. In this role, he analyzes technology trends in the IT industry and provides insight into trend drivers and future direction. Seth has led research studies on cloud computing, mobility, Big Data, and IT security, among other areas. Previously, he spent 10 years in processor development at IBM, building the chips for the Xbox360, PS3, and Wii U. He has been cited in various media outlets, including Wall Street Journal and USA Today, for his thoughts on how businesses are using technology and how the role of IT is changing.
