TRAVELING TO AND AROUND INDY IS EASY,
CONVENIENT, AND AFFORDABLE.
 
AIRPORT:  
The Indianapolis International Airport (IND) is located only 15 minutes from downtown. IND welcomes over 1,000 flights weekly from 51 non-stop destinations.
 
TRAIN & BUS:  
Other options for reaching the city include Amtrak, Greyhound, and Megabus, which all have hubs in the downtown area.
 
GROUND TRANSPORTATION: 
TAXIS
Taxis are readily available at the airport, Indiana Convention Center, Circle Centre Mall, and major hotels. A typical fare from airport to downtown is $35. 
 
UBER & LYFT
Car service, in addition to traditional taxis, is available through Uber and Lyft. Both app-based services connect visitors with resident drivers. Requesting and paying for the ride are done via your mobile phone.
 
GO EXPRESS TRAVEL AIRPORT SHUTTLE
This express, nonstop bus service runs airport to downtown every 30 minutes from 5 am-11 pm for $12 one way. Passengers board the shuttle at Zone 7 of the airport’s Ground Transportation Center. Cash payments not accepted; credit cards only. goexpresstravel.com/indy_express
 
INDYGO BUS SYSTEM
Bus routes operate all around the city, including a fixed route to and from the airport, for as little as $1.75 per ride. IndyGo’s new Transit Center opened in June 2016 as a hub for public transit in the city. indygo.net
 
ELECTRIC CAR SHARE
Indy is home to the nation’s largest, all-electric, car-share program, with rental stations throughout the city, including the airport, convention center, and hotels. There are several simple options for subscribing to the service: you can either visit a BlueIndy station equipped with an enrollment kiosk or visit the BlueIndy website*.   blue-indy.com
